Chicago-artist Grace Cole says, "Art to me is a process. It is a means of discovery by which we explore who and what we are. It is a means of delivering our essence in the pursuit of excellence. My aim is to capture the essence of beauty and dignity--the most eternal elements--and to capture the spirit of the classical, the timeless." In order to capture this timelessness, Cole works in oils, pastels, charcoal, and mixed media. Trained in the classical tradition, Cole has has studied under and apprenticed under many artists and at the École Albert du Fois in Vihiers, France and at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
