Artist Statement

"I have always found working in a small format exciting. Small works convey an intimacy that can be lost in larger pieces. Moving close to a painting, drawing, or sculpture allows the viewer to see and fully experience details, techniques, and nuances that might otherwise be overlooked. The works in this series--using oils and a collage of mixed media--highlight these elements.
